“Gwen Bertolami was respectful, knowledgeable and available. She was a total professional who attempted to work through all conditions to get our project completed in a timely and effective, accurate manner at all angles. At one point where she was slightly delayed and fully apologetic - we later discover she had a sick child in the hospital while trying to complete our work! Gwen was also very adaptive to working with the designer and contractor that we already had on the project. She was readily available for any changes later needed and her prices seemed extremely reasonable. I would recommend her and her abilities to anyone.”

“This team was contracted to do the architectural work on an addition to my home. I sketched out the overall design. Nong listened and offered his suggestions. At the conclusion, his overall design and improvements when far beyond what I had envisioned. He walk through all the paperwork and time needed to get all the permits which allowed me time to take care of the family and talk about the new look. The project is still under construction, but I know my family and I will be happy with what we both (myself and Nong) envisioned.”

“A wonderful team who designed an elegant, amazing modern remodel and addition of our row house in San Francisco. The project had numerous obstacles including a load bearing wall that was over the property line, a very steep hill side with a ton of earthquake retrofitting required, and a bridge to link two buildings. They are wonderful at asking just the right questions to figure out the best uses of space and how to design for how you really live, are very professional, and extremely organized, articulate, and resourceful. I would highly recommend them to anyone for any sized residential project.”

“We recommend John without reservation. He was the architect for our remodel several years ago. Many remodels feel very tacked-on. Every one of his remodeling projects felt very organic--they felt like the house was meant to be that way. He not only achieved that with ours but also solved some tough drainage problems on our lot. Years after the project was completed, we still marvel at how well the house works and how well it has handled our changing needs. He is also very professional. He set our expectations regarding cost and timing and met those expectations. Finally he provided great references to a contractor and a designer. We were so impressed, we just hired him again to work on our vacation house.”

“I hired AMS Design to do a complete a full renovation project. Azadeh did an amazing job not just with the design but with managing all details with the city. She managed all engineering designs and plans required to obtain the permit. I have been in the real estate business for about 10 years. I have never worked with any design company that is even close to AMS. No single deadline missed, attention to all architectural details, classy and open design and layout. The contractor had no single complaint or question. Everything was on the plans. During the open house, I go many compliment on the floor plan from many potential buyers. Really thumbs up!”

“Amparo designed my kitchen and my bathroom. I love both rooms. I tell everyone that I could not have done it without her and it is true! Both rooms are small and so it was a challenge to find materials that fit and did not create cramped spaces. There was no room for mistakes and Amparo did not make any mistakes. Amparo always sees the best solution to any design problem immediately; it is not a process of trial and error with her. She also knows all about the best materials at the best prices, and where to acquire them. She is very easy to work with, listens intently to my preferences and honors them. She helped me communicate with the contractor in order to reach a higher level of quality in the workmanship. I highly recommend her services.”

We had spent many months working with our local draftsman and while he brought our plans to life, Brandon allowed us to really see it. We were very pleased with his work and how fast he delivered. He had some solid suggestions for parts of the plan we hadn't thought of and in the end we are really glad we hired him.”
