“Gene was exceptionally professional. We were looking for a creative designer to help us build our home in an unusual residential/commercial setting. Gene's design included a floorplan for 2 storey's of residential space which included a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and millwork throughout. His attention to detail and finishes is above and beyond. We were keen on avoiding box store finishes and Gene was very willing to help us secure options within our budget. Gene's knowledge of the construction aspect of the design was key and he was open to being on-site to help throughout the job. I would (and I have) recommend Gene.”

“in 2016 we finished a complicated renovation of a circa 1887 historic City home. We had to address serious structural issues, the treatment of previously hidden architectural features and the sensitive modification of the building to accommodate modern systems within a fixed budget. All of this work had to be approved by NYS Historic Preservation Office ("SHPO"). The project was approved on time and finished under budget because of the efforts of the skilled and experienced professionals at KCB. They have a very effective working relationship with SHPO, strong technical skills and understand how to control costs while still delivering a high quality finished product.”

“I have done 3 projects with Margaret's help. One commercial (design and built out of 200SF retail/professional services space. And two residential: a complete 1350SF condo renovation and a kitchen design/renovation in another condo. What can I say - you will be hard pressed to find a more competent, experienced and dedicated designer out there. He was very insightful right from the beginning, from home placement on the lot to making the home appealing and functional. Joel was a wealth of information and provided me with not only products to choose from but an endless list of quality tradesmen to help with the project.
