At our first meeting she gave us an idea of the scope of the projects she has accomplished and the fee structure. She really listened to our ideas and concerns for our kitchen renovation. Karen presented 3 visions for our renovation, one with exactly what we asked for and then two other options. The third design presented involved moving our kitchen and creating an open floor plan. This was beyond anything we could have imagined o our own and made the best use of the space and our renovation dollars. “This is a review of the house design that Bill Chesshire did for me in Severna Park, Maryland. His design is unique in that it it a one story with high ceilings so the feel is great spaciousness. The master bedroom is huge with a walk-in closet that has plenty of hanging space for clothes. My main bathroom is completely functional with a walk-in shower with no step down. The floor just flows into the shower area. When guests step in the front door, they get the whole view at once, looking straight back to the huge, high kitchen windows, which also gives a person, a quick glimpse of the beautiful setup of the kitchen even before they get back to that area. I am so enjoying living here.”

“We have been very pleased working with Fernando Zuniga-Pflucker on two major renovations. Each time his original eye for space and design created a new and enjoyable home out of an old tired one. He listens and is flexible, and results have been outstanding. On the first occasion, we had a center hall colonial with the stairway and kitchen cramping the area just inside the front door. Fernando’s solution was to swing the stairway in the opposite direction (a solution that never crossed our minds), move the kitchen into a TV room in the rear of the house, and designed a new high ceiling, open space family room that was airy and comfortable. On the second occasion, we confronted him with a ranch-style home that had not been updated in 50 years. After crawling through attics and a closed-in second floor, his design removed walls and ceilings to create a vaulted-ceiling great room, a new dining room and library, and a modern staircase and balcony. He turned an old design into a modern and very enjoyable home to live in.”

“I contracted Ed for a redesign of the house I purchased at the beginning of 2013. The original property was a narrow 130+ year old 3.5 story house with 5 bedrooms and 1.5 bath with just under 2,000 square feet. Due to the layout and condition of the house, everything down the the studs were to be removed. I approached Ed requesting for a 3 bed 2.5 bath with some preliminary ideas on layouts. I leaned on Ed's experience to guide me through the project as this was my first house and complete renovation. I could not be more satisfied at the level of professionalism that Ed provided. He assisted with on site support with on the fly sketches and hands on work, produced drawings in a timely fashion, and even helped with communication with the township throughout the permitting and construction process. He also made sure to be an active member throughout the entire project as there were many variables that kept showing up during demolition and initial build. He was a perfect buffer to make sure that my ideas were being conveyed to the contractor, as I am very handy myself, I found it hard to get my message across in a way that my contractor could understand. His attention to detail took the house to a whole new level. I have had numerous comments from people that have walked the house throughout construction and they cannot believe the transformation. They are amazed at the little details that make the design stand out. It went from a first house, to a property that I can see myself living in for many years to come. I would recommend Ed to anyone who is looking for a residential to commercial project as his ideas are incredible. I am still painting and decorating but will make sure to post pictures of the final product.”
