“We used Breff for our initial design consultation for a restaurant and distillery in Hood River. Breff was great to work with. He was able to take the mandatory requirements I needed and creatively put them into play. Some designers we worked with had too many layers of ego to work through, not Breff. He could hear what we needed and put an architecturally creative spin on a blank idea. Unfortunately we didn't get to use him throughout the entire process as we were required to use a final architect and contractor, but I've seen Breff's work from start to finish and hope to work with him again on my own remodel.”

“As a graduate architect, I am glad I contacted Therese to do a number of projects around my house this past year. She had designed my kitchen in years past, so I knew what a treat it is to work with her. In these more recent projects, we added a solar array and battery wall, replaced the roof, designed and installed an additional cabinet to match the existing kitchen cabinetry, and made impressive updates on a screened porch to make it more functional and attractive, among other improvements. I also like that she does not try to do cookie cutter responses to the design program. Therese is knowledgable and works with top notch trades people to get the job done right. She is responsive to my concerns and is very attentive to detail. Her fees and the cost of my projects were substantially more reasonable than when I have used another premium contractor in the past. I'm a little 'house poor' right now, but I'm already dreaming with Therese about some future projects.”

“Lorin at sustain is a delight to work with! She is so sweet and never pushy. I really respect this. I would definitely work with Sustain again. The only reason we have had to go elsewhere is because they are a little pricy, but this is expected from a small town business. “The contractor, Peter Schraner, went above and beyond to provide unprecedented customer service from the beginning design to completion of our new kitchen. Every day of construction was carefully orchestrated to finish on the promised date. All of the sub contractors were professional and skilled craftsmen. Designer, Nicole Carlson listened to our wishes and needs and assisted us with her expertise in choosing materials. Of note, on the very first day, Peter went door to door to our immediate neighbors with a letter explaining the construction plans and apologizing ahead for any inconveniences, provided his phone number, and gave them each a gift card. Before installation of the cabinets, Peter decided to give us a free upgrade to custom cabinets because what we had chosen would not have worked well in some areas and were not up to his standards. At the end of each work day, we received an e-mail summary to keep us updated. I loved that there was something happening every single day until the completion date. “Birdsmouth Construction created a beautiful custom deck for our family that included lighting, hidden fasteners, custom metalwork.....a simplicity of form that required an amazing amount of finesse and engineering before construction could begin. Josh's attention to detail is incredible, the fit and finish work he/his crew does is untouchable. Josh is an absolute pleasure to have about as he's so hardworking yet always open to discussion/collaboration. Josh is honest, funny, a child and dog magnet and he takes extreme pride in his work. He was so considerate about how he left the site daily, taking our family's enjoyment into consideration....all was so tidy. Timelines were met consistently and all felt so smooth and easy on our side. He's a total professional. There should be an option for more stars! We have had quite a bit of work done on our home; as it's quite old, we won't hire anyone but Josh on future projects.”

“I purchased a remodeled older home from PDG, and received a 2 year warrenty. Being an old home, it needed a few things, and in the last 10 months that I have owned it, I have called for assistance several times. Every time, without fail, I was given immediate and respectful service and felt completely satisfied. The workers are skilled and respected my home and time, and I couldnt ask for better service. They also did a very good job designing and decorating the house, using an excellent choice of colors, and materials. I couldnt be happier.”

“Eric at Gemini Construction created and built a excellent live wood bar that was the perfect artistic centerpiece in my kitchen. He was a great listener to my ideas but also made some realistic suggestions based on his experience and knowledge with wood. You couldn't ask for a builder/contractor with a more positive attitude and attentiveness to my timeline. Super refreshing. He worked with me on finding the right piece of wood and kept us on budget. The project overall turned out to be much more of a beautiful statement piece than I had expected and was a great bang for the buck! Highly recommend!”
