“One of a kind builder! My wife and I had our hearts set on a new home that would truly reflect mountain style living. Green Life builders came through on all accounts. Simply put, they are the only homebuilder in this area that incorporates authentic post and beam construction with a conventionally built, energy efficient building envelope. No one else can deliver the feeling you get when you walk in and see the massive ceiling timbers and support beams that define the interior spaces. It’s the real deal. Mitch and his team were easy to work with, and accommodated our specific wants during the build. He also worked with us on finding ways to minimize the financial impact of add-ons during the process. Finally, we appreciated the authentic touches Green Life included as standard, like the use of real stone, inside and out and forged wrought iron balusters in our loft. If you want a solid house with that real mountain feel, Green Life is the way to go!”

We talked to Berry Home Center in Abingdon for a recommendation on builders and decided on Tommy Sproles of Mountain Empire Homes and boy are we glad we did. Tommy and his business partner and life partner Julie have been incredible. These folks understand the importance of keeping the customer up to speed on budgets and costs etc. They have bent over backwards to help us build our custom, dream home and help us keep within budget. This is the second time we have built and these folks are head and shoulders above what we experienced before and we are getting what we want. Nothing seems impossible with these folks. We love them and recommend them highly.”

“I hired Carolina Timberworks to build 9 radius trusses for a home in 2012. I got a fast accurate and very detailed estimate of EXACTLY what was and what was not included in the price. Carolina Timberworks came out to measure once and we installed them a few weeks later. All the trusses fit perfectly and the craftsmanship was top notch. Everyone at Carolina Timberworks was friendly, helpful and easy to work with. It has been two years since the beams were installed and they are still as beautiful as ever! Customer is happy so I am happy. If you need timber framing work done these are the guys you want to hire!”
