“My wife and I are exceedingly happy with the Mission style aquarium stand Chuck built for us after we discovered that the one that came with the tank was not only ugly, but unusable because of mass produced inaccuracies, and poor choice of material. In addition to that our home’s living room floor posed a further challenge because it was significantly more off from level than I had imagined. Chuck saved the day, and after thorough consultation with us created a one of a kind custom solution that not only takes care of all the requirements but is also aesthetically pleasing and blends in with the rest of our rustic furniture as if it came from the same source. He designed a Mission style piece made of white oak with slate inlays, an internal steel frame resting on eight leveling feet that guarantee even distribution of the enormous weight of water and contents, doors that open 170 degrees and can be taken off and reinstalled with a simple click and outfitted with a soft close mechanism so the fish won’t get startled, all with a height to accommodate my CO2 cylinders and regulator for my plant fertilization system. Chuck made sure he understood not just all the requirements and needs but our aesthetic preferences, and existing conditions as well, consulting with us regarding decisions not just before but along the way, exceeding our hopes and expectations with a one of a kind custom heirloom creation that will remain a focal point in our living room for us and visitors to enjoy equally. We highly recommend Chuck to anyone looking for a quality custom solution to a unique design problem. “Pikes Peak Construction has done several projects for me. The latest one was a removal and installation of HVAC, dry walling laundry room, relocating water heater and duct work, laying laminate flooring, painting, and lighting work. They were efficient, on time and very thorough. One thing I appreciate is that they have workers here daily with no big waiting periods in between. They employ excellent subcontractors and their own employees are superb. The quality of the work is always unbeatable. “We did what I would say was a pretty extensive remodel using Kevin in the summer of 2013. We had weight bearing walls taken down between our kitchen, living room, and front entry way to create a great room that now encompasses the kitchen, living room, and dining room. This even required the garage door into the house to be moved into another room. When you open the front door you come into an inviting space with a fabulous kitchen instead of walking into a wall with door cut-outs and separated spaces and a tiny kitchen. Kevin and his group tore down every wall, put up temporary walls, and then put in place a whole new support structure in the attic and in the basement. They went on to put in all new kitchen cabinets, a huge island, new hardwood flooring (that they laced in perfectly with the existing hardwoods which we found under the living room carpet), new appliances, and new lights. Kevin was very kind to allow us to do little things like reuse some of the existing can lights where we could, and he also saved all of the old kitchen cabinets that he could and put them back up in our garage and basement for good storage space. We had very few (maybe two or three) unplanned expenses and Kevin thoughtfully presented each one of these, making sure we knew he was not trying to increase our price in a way you hear of other contractors doing. And these changes were all for our benefit. In fact his overall price was very fair in comparison to the other quotes we got. I was not working during the time of our remodel, and was very involved in the whole process. Kevin did not make me feel like I was in the way, and in fact let me make some changes as we went along. Everything was done legally, with permits, which was important to us, and we passed every inspection on the first go. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and would not hesitate to use Kevin again if we required any more remodel work.”

“We had A Deck Company build us a new deck last year and we highly recommend this company for the highest quality of work. Howard Vieau led the project and came over to discuss the initial scope. His depth of knowledge was immediately obvious and his drawings were amazing. He had several ideas and options. The quality of the work from beginning to end was impeccable. His team of workers were very nice, respectful and very good. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the end result. We couldn't stop just looking at it and commenting on how happy it made us. Life outside is so lovely now!!”

“We moved from California to Colorado and bought a house that had never been updated since it was built in 1980. It looked awful but had good bones. It had carpet throughout, linoleum, separate but large kitchen, popcorn ceilings, windows that needed replacing, orange peel wall texture, no mantle on the 15x20ft moss rock fireplace, small wood baseboards and door casings, no lighting or ceiling fans, outdated window coverings in the living room that actually had an insert into the wall to accompany some of the thick curtains, square corners, a mirrored wetbar in the long hallway with a 'cat perch' or landing for plants on top of it, thin plank stair rails, 1980 appliances, etc. I interviewed several interior designers and remodelers for this and decided to go with Andy Sikora of Sikora Construction & Remodel & his wife,. Kathy at Speas Interior Design. I knew it was a huge project and wanted someone who had extensive experience and testimonials so I went with him and his wife's company. Working together as a design and remodel team, his crew got to work tearing down walls in between the kitchen and dining, opening up entry ways, tearing out wetbars, rebuilding the kitchen and cabinet space including framing, sheetrock, hvac, building stairwalls, retexturing, painting, trimwork, gas, plumbing, electrical and lighting, backsplash installation and whatever else was on the scope of work to open up the kitchen into the dining and living room and make an updated, open concept living area. Andy and his crew were very professional, got things done quickly and expertly, cleaned up after themselves, were polite, positive and a joy to work with. He provided a detailed scope of work at the beginning and then monthly thereafter, we chose what we wanted to do, any change orders needed to be signed off by us and there were no financial surprises.. I was also glad I hired Sikora Construction and Speas Interior Deisgn because I wanted flawless communication between the design and construction so we did not waste time or energy to complete this remodel. I highly recommend Sikora Construction and Speas Interior Design for any of your remodeling work.”
