Flooring Companies & Installers in Paauilo
“Great people to work with. They went above the call of duty. THANK YOU. Here is what they did for us for our new kitchen countertops. Here is pictures showing one of the colorful/curly sanded slabs there and finished with Waterlox at our home
1. Bought 3 slabs (2 5/8* thick x 30" to 55"wide x 112" long) of exotic curliness grained mango in Dec 2014.
2 They sanded both sides of slabs so we could see the complete curliness in the grain of the slabs. Also it showed the volanic mineral colors picked up by the mango slabs (butterscotch, blackheart which is a dark chocolate, green hues, red streaks, grey/black streaks).
3, They took moisture content at 22%.
4. Since we were not getting back to Michigan until late March, they stored it on there upper most shevle inside to dry it out. Kona area is very low in moisture.
5. When we got back home in late March, called them for delivery. They gave us a 10 day window since it was being shipped by boat to the west coast then trucked to Michigan. Came on time in April completely boxed and protected to Trevor Wood Products who planed and sanded it three weeks later.
6. Bonus was wood moisture now was at 9%.
7. Slabs were still very flat as they finished up at 2 1/16" thick.
8. They gave us alot of tips. E.G. How to make joint of L shape corner by using the curved grain of mango wood joint,
9. Also bought some spalted mango for a breakfast nook.
ALOHA WOOD: PEOPLE GREAT TO WORK WITH.”
