“I've never built a pool before, and I wanted to get this one to be the best it could be for my small, narrow backyard in NW Ohio. As I spoke with people, the name Hawaiian Pool Builders kept coming up. I phoned and sat down with Brenda, the designer, many times, discussing how a pool gets built, what kinds of finishes I might like, the timing of a pool build, their reputation, etc. I might have been one of those pain-in-the-neck people with all manner of questions, but at the level I was investing, I wanted to know that I was going with the right company. The build began in the spring of 2016, and it took about six-to-eight weeks. There was water in the pool on the day that Brenda promised me! I have a special finish, a dark sparkling finish with abalone shells, and the artisan who put this finish on the pool really knew what he was doing! It is visually stunning, and it feels really good on your skin. My pool is small, as I wanted, but it's a high-end finish, which makes it luxurious. In the sunshine, the pool's finish sparkles with light. I love the free-form shape, the steps, the benches around the pool's walls for sitting while I'm soaking. There's a SUPER sunning ledge, and it seats two in nice chairs with a drink-table and umbrella in between. The lighting is LED and offers many colors and color combinations. The pool features a lovely waterfall on one, raised side. There are bubblers on the sunning ledge so that the water doesn't get stagnant in the 4-inch depth. You can put your feet over the bubblers and get a bonus foot-massage! I love all the pretty additions on the pool in the form of water features. At EVERY stage, I could reach out to Brenda and ask questions and request information or clarity. At EVERY stage, I felt like I was the only customer Brenda had, even though I knew there were other pools being constructed at the same time mine was. Brenda's staff: WOW! Her site manager, Duane--what a guy--is intent upon making sure his customers are happy. The folks who come to adjust the pH of my pool, clean and adjust filter, etc.: they are communicative and competent and NICE. At one point, Brenda said to me, "I have a family to support," and she went on to tell me that the staff of the company is her family. I appreciate that SO much. I've always wanted a pool to float in. I have the best. And Hawaiian Pools made it happen in 2016. I look forward to a long and happy relationship with Hawaiian Pools in Maumee, Ohio. “Custom Inground Pools is the only pool company I would recommend for getting a pool installed. The workers showed up on time and worked to get the job done. They did everything they said they would do. The workers took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was okay with everything that was being done. Our pool was completed in under a month with one path in and one path out for the equipment minimizing the tracks on the grass. They kept the area they were working in clean and organized. They also made sure that the area was safe when they ended for the day which I appreciated with having kids. We had originally hired another company to put the pool in. They had two years to do what Custom Pools did in 1 month. Yes, you read that right it was done in under a month from dig to first swim. The other company did not live up to everything they said they could do. Whereas Custom went above and beyond. They helped us get a pool when it looked like it would never happen. The only delays were from mother nature and the liner company forgetting to make room for the top step on our stairs. Both were beyond their control. While we waited for the liner to be remade, they had cement and the electricians do their part to keep the process going. They were honest through each step and made sure to keep us informed throughout the entire process something that is truly very important. My son has special needs and Custom Pools made sure that everything they did worked for him and his needs. They were able to put in extra handrails with the stairs to get in and out. They were able to put in a ramp so his wheelchair could get to the pool area from our existing patio. They troubleshooted anything that could possibly be a hinderance to him enjoying the pool. They took the time to see our family and how we would use the pool. It was not just another pool to be installed for them. They are proud of their work and take joy in knowing the families will enjoy the pools they put in. Not only did Custom put in a beautiful pool they also made the experience painless and easy. They made sure I had the support and understanding for pool maintenance and upkeep after they were gone. They took care of everything. All I had to do was pick out what we wanted. They made it happen. I could go on and on about how great they are but it is just easier to say hire them and you will not regret it. They will make sure you are swimming in no time.”
