Last year, we decided to remove the old insulation from the attic as a way to get a handle on a pest issue that we had... but because the attic is so old, and so much 'stuff' is laying around, we didn't want to use the more common blown insulation as replacement; after some research, we came across Stellrr, and the abundance of information they provided enabled us to make a more educated decision that we would otherwise have made... Wayne Mansur was willing to spend a long time over the phone answering all of my questions, and when he came to our home, he was very meticulous in taking all relevant measures... The actual job took a little over two days to complete, and once it was finished, we were able to feel the effects of superior insulation from day one! I should say here that, and because we had removed the old insulation in the Fall of last year, the early days of Summer, when he had no insulation at all, were pretty toasty inside the house - the AC unit would not stop working between morning and evening, and could not catch up with the modest setting we had - 79F... Our new insulation from Stellrr has made the house much, much more comfortable, and the difference in the electric bill was evident from day one (my recollection was a drop on the electric bill of ~$70.00 compared to the previous month)... I have also been in the attic on Summer days, and when I would have previously been roasted, I was able to do maintenance work without issue, and with comfort...
