Certain burners come with a fast high output for quick boiling or searing, while others offer a simmering option by producing a gentle low heat. It’s recommended that your gas range come complete with at least one high output burner as well as medium and low options.


How large should your range be? Ranges come in a variety of sizes to accommodate your needs. 30” is the standard, however you can go as large as 60”. To determine what size works best for you, consider how you’ll be using it: will you be cooking for large amounts of people? Will you need to utilize several burners at a time?
