Oh! Here are the guys! Dammit is the one in the tuxedo, Panther is the solid black one (he's not thrilled to be photographed - maybe he heard that old superstition about soul-stealing?).

The under-stair cutouts for washer, dryer and cat did what all brilliant solutions do: made me see each element a new way.

The appliances are so tightly installed in some of these cubbies it would be almost impossible to pull them out to clean behind! Especially the ones in the wall with the cat cubby.
