Our project was a down to the stud remodel of our kitchen that included taking down one interior wall, adding windows to the exterior, reconfiguring the entire layout and replacing the french doors in our dining room. Their bid was competitive on price but more importantly the owner, Silviu, was very transparent on what was included, what wasn't and how we would handle issues that will always arise during a remodel. We had multiple scope revisions and I always felt like Silviu was providing a very reasonable cost on the changes and providing multiple options to control costs. Another key quality for Silviu and team as their ability to trouble shoot when issues came up. They coordinated closely with our designer to correct issues on the design dimensions, and they worked directly with the structural engineers on our project to come up with the most cost effective way to address our engineering requirements. If you're looking for a contractor you can trust and won't gouge you on the cost of every change that comes up then I highly recommend working with Oltean Construction on your project.”

“We hired Ryan at Catalyst Construction to remodel a powder room, add a bedroom/office using existing attic space, and add a basement bathroom. It was our first large scale remodeling project, and we got 3 bids for the job. Ryan's came in at the lower end, and he seemed knowledgeable and could work on our schedule. Ryan did most of the work himself except for the drywall, plumbing, electrical, and a few other miscellaneous things. He did all the finish work himself, including the tile work in the new shower and adding wood floors to match the 80+ year old oak floors in the house. He was there most every day, and finished the work within 8 weeks. Ryan was a pleasure to work with, and had great subcontractors. His extensive experience in framing came in handy when working on the attic remodel. Because we had a great experience the first time, we hired him again to remodel our kitchen. Once again, he did a terrific job, working with us closely on the design and details that we wanted. He demolished the old kitchen, tore out the breakfast nook, moved stairs and installed new cabinetry. We've received numerous compliments on the kitchen and the work he's done. He is skilled, flexible, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Ryan and Catalyst Construction.”

“If you've stumbled upon this review in your search for a contractor, well you've come across the right one. I've gone through the gamut of hiring people ranging from craigslist workers to professional tier laborers and what Joe Mikhaylov offers is leagues above any other services out there. This is my second review as he's now my go-to contractor for all types of work. First off Joe is responsive. He picks up the phone and shows up when he says he will. I've had countless scheduling issues with other contracting companies, but not with Joe. Second off he can tackle many different jobs. I've had him help with hard wood floor refinishing, tiling, painting, garage doors, window installation, sheet rocking and the list goes on. Third off you get what you ask for. I often times can be stumped by design choices so he provides a comfortable atmosphere with no pressure when it comes to deciding what you want to do. This is one complaint I have about other contractors. They want to hustle and finish the job without the attention to what the customer wants. If you don't know what you want, Joe has enough experience to make suggestions you'll be happy with. Fourth off things get done correctly. I can't stress this enough. Joe follows the protocol and doesn't half do a job. He studies the craft of renovation and can tackle any job five different ways, all done correctly. Joe has rescued my jobsites on many occasions and generally comes in fair on pricing. When it comes to costs Joe is aware of what is fair. You also have to consider that since he doesn't slouch on work the pricing will entail quality work. So if you've been bid low before and got a botched job, well you might want to consider what you were paying for with that contractor. Joe puts the effort in and the costs reflect that. In conclusion NW Development Contracting is a full stop do-it-all service for me. I think you're making a mistake by chancing it on any other contractor. Before you accept a bid from anyone else, call Joe and get him to look at what you want to do first. Even if you don't accept his bid, his insight on what you want to accomplish is something he's willing to give. That says a lot. Hope this review helps you make the right choice because I've wasted lots of time and money on other contractors. Wish I would have found his services earlier.”

“Greg and his team at KAYA Construction are professional and courteous. Having used KAYA Construction for a couple of jobs, I know KAYA will work with homeowners on any budget and any sized project. For me, KAYA has completed a kitchen remodel (completely gutted and rebuilt) and they rebuilt a new custom designed wood/metal support structure for my 50+ yr old white wisteria and they have also rebuilt a (really large) curved wood deck. Greg did not bat an eye when I told him he had to work with the white wisteria as we are not cutting it back. I just love these guys, they are terrific.”
