“Max Peterson (Smith & Sons Remodeling Experts), was called in to complete a couple of challenging renovation projects at Klub Kal. The first task was to design and build a sound barrier around a hydro transformer kiosk. I was so satisfied with this job that I brought Max back to take his best shot at another design and construction challenge. My next requests were to complete a few finishing touches at my lakeside cabin, as well as complete an unfinished, rustic outdoor bathroom. Max approached the partially completed bathroom with a creative mind and was able to bring my vision to reality. The jobs were completed on time, on budget, with quality workmanship and all the while maintaining the creative design intent. The renovation projects were finished beyond my expectations. “Completion of our Shuswap Lake House, after many bad experiences with a variety of trades who under performed. Steven Pasmen completed the following: - resized the garage door opening after the original builder built too large - corrected the staircase moulding - repaired structural beams that were separating - installed interior moulding and trim - built the beautiful fir railing on the front porch - completed the covered porch, installed windows, doors, siding etc. - installed facia board After a parade of poor contractors we contacted Steven Pasmen after searching on the Houzz website under "find a pro". This turned out to be the best experience we could have hoped for... A little late mind you as we were very close to completion but we were left with many corrections from prior trades that were required and other projects that required completion. I must say that Steven restored my faith in humans as he was a consummate profession throughout the entire process. After explaining what repairs were required and the remainder of the scope of work Steven presented a comprehensive quote as well as a time frame for completion. After providing him with the go ahead he was on the job right away. After each days work we were provided with an update along with pictures so we could review the progress. He even fixed a few deficiencies of others that he noticed. I was very impressed with the speed and the quality of his work, he clearly takes pride in his workmanship and pays attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend Steven for any project, and plan to have him back again in the spring to do some further finishing work.”

“We would like to recommend Copper Island Fine Homes for the excellent work they did on our (now) beautiful home. We purchased our home and before we moved in had Copper Island renovate a large portion of the upper level of our 13-year old home. The reno involved removal of walls, rearrangement of closets (converting one into a bar), addition of a huge picture window, complete removal and replacement of the drywall on a very large ceiling, installation of lighting in that ceiling, installation of a new fireplace and a completely new kitchen. Working with Greg, Dean and Kyla was a delightfully stress-free experience. Greg is a very professional, knowledgeable contractor and offered reasonable, cost-effective options as the work progressed. Dean, too, is very experienced and kept a close watch on important structural details. Kyla did a terrific job keeping us informed of the progress as we were still in Vancouver while the work was being completed. In addition, all the subcontractors were excellent. Another contractor commented we were fortunate to have Copper Island do the work as it was likely beyond the capabilities of most others in the area. We've all heard many stories of dream homes that become nightmares during renovations. This project was very pleasant. I don't think we could have asked for a better team or a better experience. Acted as home buyers' agent with sub contractors. Able to maintain full cooperation of sub contractors. Many aspects of the home are "green" , for example, building techniques which provide superior insulation. After one year there have been virtually no issues.”
