“We were referred by our neighbor who used Distinctive Elements for their kitchen. When we met Bo, the owner and designer, we immediately liked her as she is friendly and positive. Her design had a similar layout to other proposals, but Bo added an artistic flair by adding in angled cabinets with varied heights and depths that really made the finished project interesting and beautiful. She was quite flexible by incorporating our ideas into the final design which allows for a personalized touch. Her team was great. They were friendly, hard working and stayed right on schedule. There was one incident where they dropped our oven damaging the oven and the new floor. Without question, they fixed both at no extra cost and no delay in the project. The contractors for the cabinets, plumbing and granite were equally good. The finished product looks great! We would definitely use them again.”

“Tracy receives our highest recommendation. Tracy's designs were done promptly and included everything we asked for that space to contain. We transformed a completely unfinished basement into a complete space including entertainment and a custom bar design. An office, wine cellar, full bath and playspaces are also included in this build. We chose Tracy and the builder she recommended. The build started on time and ended early. Both Tracy and the builder were available any time questions arose. Tracy chooses the highest quality materials and our space is unique. Her design was forward thinking. “We interviewed 4 designers for a complete redesign of our kitchen and chose Tom of TRS Designs ~ best decision we made! We liked his extremely low design fee with no commitment to purchase cabinets [but with the option that the design fee would be applied to any cabinet purchase if we bought through him]. For such a major undertaking, this made it a ‘no-brainer’ to at least see what he would design. Early in the design process, Tom’s vast experience was obvious and we knew we wanted him to design our dream kitchen. We were able to discuss many ideas with him and get an honest response from him…not ‘what he thought we wanted to hear’. His honesty and respect for our opinions AND our budget were the keys to our success . Tom never pressured us on a timeline or forced his ideas. Rather, he gave us the Pros and Cons on any questions we had which enabled US to make the right decisions and stay within our budget. The biggest surprise was how much Tom was involved AFTER the cabinet purchase at NO additional cost (!): • Personally inspected every cabinet upon delivery [even arranged for replacement of one damaged in shipping so we did not have to do a thing!] • Accompanied us to several granite yards • Supplied information on sinks • Worked closely with our appliance vendor • Obtained discounts for us with Flooring and Appliance vendors • Worked extremely well with OUR contractor during the installation [our contractor appreciated the detailed design prints supplied by Tom] We are very grateful to Tom for designing a kitchen that greatly exceeded our expectations in appearance and functionality….and came in ON BUDGET!
