“Luis and his team are top notch professionals who focus on quality. I have had the good fortune to work with him on several projects to improve my home and backyard in San Francisco. The first was a fairly complicated deck rebuild followed by my request to build a series of planters from an architect's drawings. They did such a great job on those I asked them to replace all my exterior siding and even add a window which looks marvelous. I can't recommend Form and Function Landscapes enough. My experience with Luis is he has always been fair and honest. I know I can trust him and his team of landscapers, carpenters, plumbers and electricians to do a good job.”

“Contractors typically annoy me. They hardly ever arrive on time, clean up after their work or live up to their promises. R&R Backyard Remodeling is the exception having proved time and time again over the course of a long project that they do what they say they'll do and get it right on the first try. They have crews that specialize in each individual area (the deck itself, kitchen/barbecue area, fencing, stucco and paint) and each of them is led by a foreman with experience and patience. We are more than pleased with the end result - we are delighted. Visitors have been stunned at the beauty and quality of the final product. The most important endorsement I could offer is that given the opportunity to do it all over again I'd choose to work with them without hesitation. Ron and his team are honest, professional and prompt. It's hard to ask for anything more of a contractor. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.”

“Donisi Landscape Construction Company re-landscaped our front yard with 40+ plants and trees, replaced a sprinkler system with a drip irrigation system and installed paver pathways. We were very, very pleased with the work, the workers and the finished product. Mr. Donisi coordinated well with our designer so that the layout and installation went smoothly. The work crew was skilled and efficient so there were no problems, no damage and no re-work. We were particularly pleased with the installation of the pathways - pavers tightly secured, surface totally even. Three months after planting all the plants are thriving which speaks well of the soil conditioning and drip system design and installation. The project went smoothly with no delays. Technically the project was on budget per the contract. (But let me share a lesson I learned: If your project involves removal of dirt, understand the potential cost and who will bear it before signing a contract.) Overall Donisi Landscape Construction Company did do a great job and I recommend them without hesitation.”

“Southbay Design & Landscaping redid our backyard over 4 years ago, and have been maintaining it ever since. They are very responsive to any requests we have and are thorough in the maintenance of our yard. I appreciate that they will plant new plants for us if we pick them up and have given advice on what kind of plants work around our yard. They even help out by fixing our sprinklers without us asking (we actually hadn’t realized it was broken but were suspicious of why the grass wasn’t growing well in one spot). We appreciate their professionalism and good work.”

“Partnering with Joe and his team turned out to be the best decision we made when starting our full backyard remodel. After meeting with and interviewing 5 different companies, Joe made us feel comfortable and confident he could get the job done and on budget. His open and honest communication style was apparent throughout the entire project. He took the time to listen to our ideas and implemented them with his own design spin to allow our space to flow seamlessly. Prior to each new phase he met with us to allow for any design changes. Our project included redoing an existing pool, designing a rock retaining wall, creating an outdoor kitchen and dedicated space for a standalone fire pit as well as all new landscaping/lighting. Joe was on budget throughout the entire project and had a wonderful phased payment system as the project progressed. His team was onsite every work day on time and extremely productive. Joe attended all visits with the pool company, granite warehouse, and outdoor appliance stores with us to help educate and advocate for us. “Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”
