“Southbay Design & Landscaping redid our backyard over 4 years ago, and have been maintaining it ever since. They are very responsive to any requests we have and are thorough in the maintenance of our yard. I appreciate that they will plant new plants for us if we pick them up and have given advice on what kind of plants work around our yard. They even help out by fixing our sprinklers without us asking (we actually hadn’t realized it was broken but were suspicious of why the grass wasn’t growing well in one spot). We appreciate their professionalism and good work.”

“For the last few months, my wife and I were considering updating our yard. The idea originally was to freshen up the space with some plants and possibly do some hard-scape as well. We spoke to a couple of landscape contractors but truthfully weren't convinced. Sometime went by and a neighbor suggested to contact A&E Landscapes. This neighbor had had work done by them in the past and was very pleased with the workmanship and final product. I contacted them and spoke to a lady by the name of Ana. She was very pleasant and had a number of questions. We ended the call by agreeing to meet so she can have a better understanding of my wife and I ideas of the project. A day or so went by and we met. I was very surprise how Ana made me feel at ease. She was very detailed on her explanation and very resourceful with blue prints, pictures of current and past projects. Fast forward to now and I am happy to say that the vision my wife and I had for our backyard was met above and beyond! I couldn't say enough about this company. Well done, really.”

“As a professional landscape designer, I don't trust just anyone to install my designs, and I'm wary when working with a contractor for the first time. But when my VIP clients needed a swimming pool with spa and waterfall, stone patios and seatwalls, cedar arbors, a built-in BBQ, lighting, plantings, a putting green... the works!... I invited Jeff Veliquette of Lifescape to bid, based on similar projects in his portfolio. My clients ultimately hired Lifescape -- and man, am I glad they did! It was an ambitious design with lots of opportunities for failure... and Lifescape turned it into a stunning success. Somehow Jeff not only kept track of countless details and changes, he and his crew executed them to an extremely high degree of finish. They truly take personal pride in a job well done, and obviously understand the meaning (and value) of terrific client service. Jeff also has great vision, and I was completely comfortable entrusting him to develop my ideas into a beautiful reality. Lifescape's foreman was a consummate professional as well, handling even my unreasonable requests with grace and good humor. “There are many Landscape company's and contractors out there. There are many good ones. But then there are the rare. The best of the best. The cream of the crop. They are not satisfied with just meeting their clients expectations They are compelled by their inner passion To exceed their clients expectations. It is always refreshing and motivating to witness this first hand. I have had the pleasure to watch this first hand working with Mike Hertzer , owner of Modern Landscape on a project In Palo Alto. His quality of workmanship. Communication, Follow through, and Delivery was excellent. He is a pleasure to work with fun watching his whole process. “Gary McCann started our job in late 2019 and finished in about 6 months. 1 thing slowed this job down (Covid19), but Gary was able to overcome to work at a very good pace even with the unexpected delay. We gave him a design that we did not particularly care for, but we did like the layout. He listened and understood what our vision was and rolled with it. He did a great job and I would definitely recommend him. MOST IMPORTANTLY, he stands behind our work. It has been over a year since we started the job and more than 6 months since he finished. We ended up noticing an issue with the pavers not draining correctly. It seemed to happen during heavy rain so we hadn't noticed it prior. He came back to fix this. His knowledge, attention to detail, and expectations are very high. He sets a high bar from the crew that comes out.”
