“At Studio Spice we worked with Jonathan De Friend to source 400 sq m of flooring and staircase cladding for a large private residential renovation project. We were looking for something contemporary but organic. He found for us a bespoke wall to wall planks solution, using high grade ash, that was engineered in the UK, so with minimal carbon footprint. He liaised between us and the mill, oversaw installation, was excellent in coordinating timelines and installation conditions with the main contractor and made great suggestions for smaller details, such as threshold detailing and position of cuts. He also stayed in touch for a great after sales service and snagging. We will certainly be working with Jonathan again.”

“On deciding to refurbish the guest room, a survey of various companies considered capable of carrying out the work required visited. After making several enquiries it was found that Floors By Design in Wigston, though a small firm, knew in detail the products that they install and seemed to know the most appropriate product to meet my requirements. On this understanding I arranged for them to carry out a survey and to give a quotation, in the meantime I also went to other suppliers and installers for a quotation, from the resulting exercise I came to the conclusion that Floors By Design were not only very competitive in price but also appeared to know their products inside out. An order was placed and they carried out a final survey to ensure they fully understood my requirements. From commencement of work, to the final finished product, was carried out in a speedily, efficient and professional manner. Mursel and his team were extremely professional, polite, friendly and trustworthy from the point of choosing the flooring, getting a competitive quote, fitting the flooring and the aftercare. Mursel was knowledged and proud of his work and the materials used were of high quality and the fitting was faultless which reflects in my high recommendation of them. I am absolutely thrilled with the floor years later. Woodcraft come in yearly to do a maintenance service to the floor which looks as good as it did when new. The maintenance was done quickly and thoroughly and the floors look stunning.”

“We ordered some Worn Grey Limestone from Floors of Stone and absolutely love it! We are local so visited their beautiful showroom (well worth the visit, there's so much to see!) and were guided round the whole showroom and advised on what would suit our project. After narrowing our choice down, we were given free samples to take home and make our final choice. The delivery was made within a few days and was well packaged with not a single tile broken. “Erik laid 450sq ft of 170mm chateau natural in my hallway, living room and kitchen - and the results are beautiful. I am renovating a dark, run-down Victorian basement flat in South East London and the oak flooring has literally transformed it overnight. I was also very pleased with the high-end workmanship, particularly on some tricky steps leading down to my kitchen.
