“I met Dustin about 4 years ago when I contacted him about a lot that he had listed that was absolutely the perfect place to build my custom dream home. We began working together, along with the help of my draftsman to refine the details of my initial design. The design is a cross between mid-century and contemporary and definitely "outside of the box" for our area and most builders would never have accepted the challenge, but that was definitely not the case with the team at Hennard Custom Homes. I would have to say there is not one detail in the home that is not a custom choice, so it is always a challenge for a builder when every detail has to be questioned, but the line of communication was always open and I was always involved in each and every detail per my request. I hired a personal friend, Jeff Tathwell, owner of Tathwell Design Associates in Portland Oregon to handle the interior design details since mid-century modern/contemporary is his area of expertise. I will be very honest, we have incorporated some very unique interior finishes that some builders would have literally walked away from if we had asked them to install them, but they are absolutely fabulous!!
