“Completely renovated our log cabin. They came in and demo'd it. Removing the drop down ceiling, making the whole log cabin 1 big gathering room (the lodge) with cathedral ceiling. They moved the stairs leading to unfinished basement (now finished), replaced all the windows in the log cabin, new ash flooring, new kitchen cupboards,added kitchen island, and countertops, notched out logs to fit new appliances. Also finished basement with new bedroom, laundry room, family room, bathroom and my favorite, "a craft room" from what used to be a "cluttered hall". Also added slider walk out door to patio area and outside shower. I have pictures from beginning to now, but don't have them on my work computer, can supply from my "patti.lou.who@hotmail.com" account upon request.”

“Ours is primarily a DIY project – a timber-framed, strawbale-wrapped house with external stud walls containing dense-packed cellulose insulation and (eventually) clapboard siding. We greatly benefited from consulting with New Frameworks Natural Design Build starting early in our design/planning process. Co-owner Jacob Deva Racussin, is very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and outstanding teacher, who met with us several times and provided very useful feedback and suggestions, as well as instructions and sources for specialized construction supplies. He visited our project site several times, and taught us (and friends) how to shape and build with the bales. We also hired a New Frameworks crew, including co-owner Ace McArleton, to apply the base coat of plaster on the interior straw-bale walls. They were wonderful - very hardworking, plus enjoyable to work with! We very much appreciate everyone’s flexibility in working with us through our long, complicated and somewhat chaotic process. We think the world of all the New Frameworks Natural Design Build people and highly recommend them!”

“It was a pleasure working with Warren Uzzle who completed a front porch project on my home in Warren, VT. When I initially spoke with Warren about my project, he told me that he would be down that afternoon - and he arrived early. I provided Warren with an overview of the issues (that he also saw). He asked a number of questions, and then proceeded to describe possible options to rectify the problems. Warren brought along a photo album of projects he had worked on over the years from building entire homes to smaller home projects. I decided to hire Warren and the project was completed on time and within budget. Warren kept me informed throughout the project and discussed any unforeseen issues with me along with possible solutions. Warren has an eye for perfection. “We decided we wanted to tear down our seasonal cottage and rebuild it into something with a foundation, some style and function. We had to stay on the same footprint since we were near the lake. We had kind of a vague plan and selected the Bonneville Brothers because they had done a good job on some remodeling at the cottage next door. They took my general idea and turned it into something great. They had ideas that built on my own and they knew what would work and what wouldn't. They always did what they said they were going to do and got it done on time. I checked in with them every few weeks or so and was never disappointed. Everyone raves about the quality of the work they did here!”
