“To start this review up front, I have to clarify that I came to Eric at Modern Home Systems after surviving a nightmare experience purchasing a home theater/install from a well known vendor associated with a national big box chain. In short, I was ripped off and received faulty product and subpar installation for a super inflated price. So when I moved into my first home and needed a new home theater install in my living room, I was terrified of being taken advantage of again, but thankfully knew the right questions to ask to better protect myself this time around. Within 5 minutes of Eric's initial consult, I could tell that I was dealing with a competent, honest, and dedicated professional. On the first walkthrough, he was able to provide varied recs and a la carte options that allowed me to work flexibly in budget range. As we worked out minor details and installation plans over the next couple of weeks, he was in constant communication with me. When the install date finally came, he worked hard & smart and troubleshot every single random request I made. A few weeks later, we couldn't be happier with our projector/screen, surround sound, Sonos, etc. The equipment is impeccably installed. It's been a major quality of life upgrade. We look forward to using Modern Home Systems again when we reno our kitchen and master suite later this year.
