“Fantastic experience with this landscape design and construction company! Our particular designer (Pam Cosce) was knowledgeable and professional in all meetings and we couldnt be happier with the results! No issues with deadlines--everyone that worked our site was extremely nice, professional and timely. Entire process from design to excavation to completion for our $100,000+ project was less than 9 months (design changes/plans and the city approvals took the longest time--probably 5-6 months.) Overall--very happy and highly recommend!”

“Luis and his team are top notch professionals who focus on quality. I have had the good fortune to work with him on several projects to improve my home and backyard in San Francisco. The first was a fairly complicated deck rebuild followed by my request to build a series of planters from an architect's drawings. They did such a great job on those I asked them to replace all my exterior siding and even add a window which looks marvelous. I can't recommend Form and Function Landscapes enough. My experience with Luis is he has always been fair and honest. I know I can trust him and his team of landscapers, carpenters, plumbers and electricians to do a good job.”

“I hired Ulises and team for my backyard renovation project. It involved demo, building a complex 10 feet x 80feet wide concrete retaining wall with fence, walkway around the house with concrete slabs. Final output(attached pics) speaks for the excellent work they have done. Ulises has been exceptionally professional, showing up on time and easy to communicate and always suggests the client all possible options so that the client can choose what's best for them. After speaking to 4-5 GC's i chose him for his professionalism and the amazing price he offered for this scale of a project and he delivered! My neighbors also hired him seeing the work at my site. Will definitely hire him for future projects!”

“My garden had good bones but the plants were all wrong. I wanted a garden that looked natural but well-kept, a tough aesthetic to pull off. I wanted lots of birds and butterflies. Mariposa Gardening has taken care of my garden for a few years now. The principal, Andrea Hurd, started by editing the original sorry collection of misplaced plants, replacing the losers with absolute winners. I now have a beautiful variety of textures, colors, shapes and sizes. Something is in bloom in all seasons. We are overrun with birds and, in season, with butterflies. Her maintenance crews have done a great job of keeping her work looking good. The trees are elegantly pruned; each one displays that gold standard "looks like it grew that way" look. Any special request that I make is quickly taken care of. Sometimes I get treats, in the form of new flowers or vegetable starts (I love foraging in my own back yard). In short I am completely happy with Mariposa Gardening and Design.”

They came with great ideas and delivered for us every step of the way. If you are looking to remodel your backyard, look no further - this is your team. Choose anyone else at your own risk. Ron and the team are by far the best contractors I've ever worked with. Plus they are great guys on top of it, which makes the process move so much more smoothly. We never had to chase anyone down or wonder when anything was going to happen. They were great communicators throughout the entire project and we absolutely love our new backyard. An essential part of that abiding delight derives from Omar's remarkable, and to us surprising and unexpected, artistic vision about the job,. The result owes relatively little to our input, and what we have, what we enjoy, we overwhelming owe to his very creative artistic understanding and sensibility. Importantly, however, when we did disagree with him he discussed the issues with us in a good-spirited and respectful manner and, when we resolved on a clear decision, acceded to that in good will.
