“Amazing company and an even better family! We met with SO many contractors and so glad we finally met with Paul. Their promptness, attentive to detail and just how ethical and honest they were was such a relief. Every time we had a question they would respond immediately and with such kindness. I will forever reccomend them to ALL of our friends, family and business acquaintances. They have a lifetime client for all of future projects!!”

“We’ve been burned by remodeling contractors in the past—missed deadlines, poor workmanship, and over-promises. So when we needed to remodel our kitchen, we returned to Phx Home Remodeling, who had done a fantastic job on our bathroom a few years ago. From planning to execution, the experience was smooth and professional. Nicole did an amazing job designing our dream kitchen—she nailed the materials and layout just by reviewing our inspiration photos. Communication was excellent throughout, with quick responses via BuilderTrend, text, and phone. Steve led the construction and exceeded expectations. He kept the space clean, kept us informed daily, and thoughtfully solved any special requests along the way. His craftsmanship and work ethic really stood out and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Midway through, we added a fireplace remodel and had all the baseboards on our first level replaced - both were handled seamlessly. Kudos to Lupe for the tile work and Dean for the baseboard installation and work on the cooktop hood. We were absolutely thrilled with the final result and got the dream kitchen we had hoped for. The entire team was skilled, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. We can, without hesitation, give Phx Home Remodeling our highest recommendation.”

“When we discovered a failing sewer line last summer, we contacted Larry Mack of Talavera Custom. Larry was our contractor of choice because of the excellent work he did for our complete remodel nine years ago. This new work would require removal of existing flooring, excavation, removal of damaged pipe, installation of a new sewer, replacement of the tile and wood flooring, and painting the interior. Larry worked with us in the planning, helping choose the best tile and wood flooring after replacement of the sewer, and negotiations with the insurance company. We discussed the schedule and the best time to begin the work. We agreed the project would take approximately 2 months and would begin in November. In summary: •Talavera crews and Subcontractors communicated their schedules and plans. We were advised of when and what work would be done. •Execution of the work was exactly as planned. There were no surprises. •Larry always let us know exactly when they would be on site and what the crews would be doing. •All work was performed to the highest quality standards. We should also add that through the entire project, the crews arrived on site, upbeat, worked with enthusiasm, and supported each other. This attitude was reflected in the quality of the work and the professional way it was executed. We are very happy with the result We highly recommend Larry Mack and his Talavera crew for any building or remodeling project.”

Bathroom Remodeler FAQs
A standard shower installation typically takes between two to five days. However, the duration can vary depending on several factors such as the complexity of the project, the condition of existing plumbing, and whether the installation involves custom tile work or prefabricated units. More intricate designs or the need for significant plumbing modifications can extend the timeline.
When selecting materials for a new shower, consider durability, maintenance, and your personal aesthetic preference. Popular choices include ceramic and porcelain tiles due to their resilience and range of designs. For keeping up with trends, resources like Pinterest, Instagram, and home improvement magazines offer a wealth of inspiration. Trends for 2023 include large-format tiles, matte finishes, and nature-inspired elements. Consult with your installer for recommendations tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
Before the installation begins, clear the bathroom area of personal items and any furniture that might obstruct access. If possible, provide an alternative access route to the bathroom to minimize disruption in your living space. Discuss with your installer any specific preparations required, such as turning off water supply lines. Lastly, ensure thereʼs a clear line of communication about the project timeline and daily work schedule.
Experienced installers are adept at handling common challenges such as unexpected plumbing issues, uneven floors, or moisture damage in the underlying structure. They use a variety of tools and techniques to troubleshoot these problems, often incorporating waterproofing membranes, adjusting floor levels, or replacing damaged substrates. Transparency about potential issues and solutions is crucial for a successful project outcome.
While specific certifications can vary by location, looking for installers with credentials from recognized industry organizations like the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), or certification in waterproofing and tile installation can be advantageous. These certifications demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, ongoing education, and adherence to industry standards.
Yes, many shower installers are knowledgeable about eco-friendly options and can assist in choosing water-saving fixtures, sustainable materials, and implementing designs that maximize energy efficiency. Ask your installer about low-flow showerheads, LED lighting options, and materials like recycled glass tiles to create a more sustainable bathroom design.
