“Paul Cole of Cole Design Studio was a referral which we are very pleased to have checked into. We met Paul at his home office along with his welcoming committee, Charlie and Bella, two extremely lovable dogs. We got right down to business discussing the construction of a home on land we purchased some time ago and what our budget would allow. Paul's portfolio of completed designs, plus our own thoughts were put to paper in a very professional and expeditious manner. Paul worked with us, making suggestions when we were unsure of our design and gave us ideas we hadn't thought of. The final plan is one we cannot wait to have built. In the interim, we asked Paul to design a two and a half car garage with an apartment above to be constructed adjacent to the home Paul was designing. The plan was exactly what we had in mind and Paul was able to maximize limited space to create a very comfortable living area. Construction of the garage/apartment is almost completed. If you choose Cole Design Studio you will have the pleasure of working with someone who is extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. “I met Will over 10 years ago when he was the project Architect on a complicated multi million dollar oceanfront home my company was building. This is not an easy position to fill and he did an excellent job. We formed a good relationship and for more than a decade Will has done design and CAD drafting work for my company. I have found him to have superior design skills, takes direction very well, completes his work on time and has respect for budget constraints. Most recently we have been working together on the shop drawings for all of the interiors of an apartment in Manhattan, NY. This has been a difficult and demanding project and as usual Will has performed very well. More over, I have found him to have an exemplary work ethic and solid character. We have worked together many times on an hourly basis and I always felt that his compensation was fair, justified and reasonable.”

“FHS constructors have done numerous projects on our home renovation since starting with our kitchen renovation and hardwood floor restoration. Scott Green gave us a true and accurate detailed estimate and timeframe upfront. He completed this job on time and to both my wife and my satisfaction. He just finished a 16*16 carriage house in the backyard that is a piece of art. He has also put a new roof on our home, his crew was finished by three o’clock in the afternoon on the same day and I still have only found three nails in my yard. They were efficient and cleaned up great. When my toilet downstairs had some structural issues his crew fixed that in no time and now I can do jumping jacks on it If I wanted to. After these numerous jobs we still would recommend him to friends and family because he is honest and gets the job done right. Thanks for making our house a home FHS!”

“Grimball built an elevator shaft in our town house in downtown Charleston. Really nice work, all as quoted, and done on time. Came back as need when the elevator was installed and went over the quote and took off the charges for some work that did not need to be done. Were so dependable I gave them a house key and alarm codes. They helped find the right finishes and completed the inside of the elevator compartment for us when we were out of town. Just a pleasure to work with. I have recommended them to friends.”

“Greg was recommended to us by 4 or 5 people. Best decision we've made so far is hiring him as our contractor. Here's why: 1. He's a builder's builder: Very talented and creative, has a lot of excellent ideas. He's not your standard contractor that just "reads the plans" - he's met multiple times with our architect to go over the details and to offer some really great suggestions. Very impressed with the level of collaboration! 2. He's very conscious of your budget: I've had a lot of ideas for the house. Like most people, we have a budget for this build. Greg has kept me in line whenever I come up with another of my "brilliant" (as in, costly) ideas. What I truly appreciate is that each and every time, he's offered some really great alternative so that I get the look I was going for without breaking the bank. 3. He does quality work: I've seen homes he's completed and they're fantastic. 4. He's a good guy: Even his subcontractors rave about him. We stop by the lot on a regular basis to take pictures of the progress. Most of the time, the subcontractors are there working. Without fail, when we talk to them we hear about how nice a guy Greg is and how much they like working for him. Might be a big part of why his homes turn out so well. Happy employees do great work. 5. He's easy to get in touch with and is very responsive. Not the kind of contractor that disappears on you! Highly, highly recommend.”

“Did an amazing job getting my house built. He was on budget, open to communicate with me, honest to deal with and right there when I had questions. I appreciated the attention to his details of my house also appreciated his hands on approach to some of the finishing work. The local vendors and cabinet makers were local and that made the process go very smooth. My house was a great design, great energy efficient and very well built. Thank you!”
