“Jim and Dan Ludwig (Hometown Design-Build) transformed an under-utilized breakfast area and powder room into an efficient and very attractive Arts & Crafts kitchen, in keeping with my late-Victorian house. And they turned my old kitchen into a 2nd bath, complete with tub and shower. With close attention to detail throughout, the Ludwig’s created these spaces to reflect the rest of the house, down to the moldings used in all the doors, floors and windows. With the exception of efficient new plumbing and lighting, these rooms give one the illusion that they have always been here, an integral part of the original design.”

“Rick Hauser and his staff were a pleasure to work with. We found In.Site:Architecture online when we were looking for architects in our area. Even though our home is a few hours away from their office we had excellent communication and collaboration throughout the design phase. They were very knowledgeable about materials and systems while keeping us mindful of the budget. We were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm for our project. “I am in the process of building a modern Arts and Crafts house, which is going very smoothly. From what I have observed, the teams of workers - basement, framing, roofing - have all worked well and quickly, and speak highly of Derek. Derek and I meet regularly to assess what is next for deadlines and within budget, and he patiently answers/explains my many information requests. ( We have known each other now for two and a half years in getting this whole project going.) Workmanship is excellent quality based on Derek's experience in housebuilding from start to finish and organization of the worker teams so everyone always knows where to go, when, and there is never a dull moment at any work site. I would be very pleased to highly recommend Buffalo Bungalow - in fact, my sister and brother in law will be using Derek for a future project.”

“My husband & I own an historic Victorian house & wanted to add a family room addition that allowed us to respect the traditional architecture of the original house while providing a more family-friendly, comfortable gathering space.We challenged potential designers of the project with a desire to incorporate a spiral staircase, a wood-burning fireplace & a wall of window to capture the view. We reviewed several options, but Blake's design was a hands-down winner. His knowledge of historic design & experience created a room that is both beautiful & functional. The attention to the design detail & the ability to source & work with a great local builder while incorporating our input was key to the success of the project. The addition looks like is was always part of the 1870s house, yet provides a modern, open space for family gatherings. We couldn't be more happy with the resulting room & our decision to work with Blake.”
