“I have worked with Big County Builders on a couple projects and trust not only the integrity of how the business is run, but also the innovative thought that goes into the project. Josh not only worries about execution, but also thinks about design, logistics, cosmetic and aesthetics. This is important to me. I don't always have the know how, but have the idea of what I want and Josh always seems to find a way to fit the design of what I am thinking. He asks the right questions and talks about the important things. He does great work and would always recommend him!”

“Bob Vail is a master Craftsman and his crew is just as exacting and demanding as he is. Our project involved pushing out our kitchen foundation 6ft and rearranging the rooms on the first floor to meet an expanded and updated kitchen. Walls were torn down and new walls were put in place, new windows and doors and a new outside deck also were part of a project that included an entire renovation of a tired old kitchen. Bob consulted and worked with us alongside an architect, kitchen expert and electrician in order to help us select exactly what we wanted, at times he would advocate for us when we met with some unprofessional incidents. Most importantly, Bob was able to flex with some changing demands during the project while still maintaining the integrity of the original plan. Superior finish carpentry highlights surround the new project and bring continued enjoyment as we use our new kitchen and entertain more often than ever before.”

“Chris worked on a wide variety of projects around our house including extensive external trim, which he finished beautifully. He also installed replacement doors and windows in a couple drafty locations, at a price far below the quote I received from a national window company. Chris was here when he said he would be, communicated clearly and charged us a fair price. I would highly recommend Chris for any professional carpentry job.”

“From start to finish a great experience with a terrific result. Seth and his crew impressed us daily with their responsiveness, efficiency, and excellent work. In an old house there are always challenges, what you might expect and what you don’t, and every solution they came up with made the overall project even better. It was a lot to manage, especially during a year with shortages of building materials and subcontractors booked out for months. Yet SGK made everything come together. This is a talented and professional group, not to mention a pleasure to have around. Their respect for us, our home, and our wishes would assure them as our first choice for another job.”

“I have hired Rainbow Construction/Craig Cooper since 1992 and we have over 20 projects together. Four have been new homes for me and seven have been complete remodeling of other homes. I have only signed my first contract with Craig and never again had a contract. His organization, skill and quality have been exceptional. I have never had a dispute and he has always stood behind the work they do. He also built a commercial recording (mastering ) studio for me which is world renowned. I can not state more firmly that he and his company set a new standard in construction. I will list below photos from my last home which is under contract for sale.”

“Bill Allen built a solar house for my wife and me in 2008. Much of his previous work had been updating old houses so he was used to solving problems. Our house presented some problems to him and he solved them and kept the project moving forward. We built using SIP panels for the walls and roof and these have kept us warm. With most of the glass on the south side. When the temperature is 10 degrees, if the sun is shining you don't need heat from the fireplace insert that basically heats the entire house. Bill likes old wood and introduced many nice accents to the project and these give this "new" house some character. He worked with my design and created a great house. This included getting the contractors to use glues that were low in volatiles. He used good sub-contractors and worked with his crew to do the carpentry work. The house is doing well and there were virtually no call-back issues that needed to be dealt with. He built a quality house and did it at a reasonable cost.”
