Not only did the floors have to be replaced, there was also a mold issue and the existing subfloor had to be removed and replaced. Perry, Michael Avidor, and Carl managed the whole process and pushed hard to move as fast as possible even during the holidays. Michael provided detailed updates and photos even while I was traveling out of the country. The end product looks great and we have the peace of mind coming from knowing that the installation was done correctly, with no shortcuts, and is protected through their 5 year warranty.”

“This is the second time I have invited Monks and Ward to quote a project in my house. Previously Monks painted and installed flooring in my house which turned out fantastic. This time we wanted to convert our covered porch into a mudroom. After receiving his quote (which was very reasonable) we met Vince as Project Manager and his foreman, Alonzo. Vince coordinated the project including inspections. Alonzo and his crew built the room. Start to finish it was a great experience. “We highly recommend Michael for any renovation contractor work. We completed our gut renovation project in 2 BR 2 BD in Upper East Side co-op building with strict building bylaws and regulations in 2.5 months with no significant problems. The renovation consisted of full redo of kitchen, 2 bathrooms, full installations of soundproof floors, with plumbing and electrical work. During the course of the work, Michael's crew installed pocket door, rebuilt closet areas, replaced electrical box/switches/outlets/etc. We got a completely new place that has nothing left from the old design and structure. Michael paid attention to details, was on time, did everything in his power to ensure that the quality of was top-notch. Additionally, he understood our requirements for the aesthetics and fixed the minor issues without having us to point it out. In some exceptional cases, he would escalate the problem to us where we could discuss for the alternatives and come to a mutual conclusion. We highly recommend this firm and would come back to them for additional projects in the future.”
