She explained her process thoroughly, which was helpful for us novices, and she was always easy to talk with through out the entire process. As we look back at our experience with the Greenberg Design Gallery team together with the Greenberg Construction team; from the original concept stage, to budgeting, design, and implementation/cost trade-offs, to securing our permit, we have recognized that indeed the team at Greenberg have implemented a very efficient platform. The team is highly technical and uses state of the art architectural design tools to take their clients through the journey in a very timely manner. In fact, we believe the value we have received in the design to permit phase will eventually save us a considerable amount as we anticipate minimal changes during the build phase. Greenberg architected our new home vision in the first month, and by empowering us with their 3D modeling package, we were able to request modifications and fine tune our entire house in the ensuing two months. In parallel, we were visiting their showroom in Palo Alto (where they have a rich selection of material), and spent quality time with their interior designers to help us reach consensus on the majority of the type of finishes for our house. So in approximately three months we went from vision to design to permit and material type selection. “Sharon has a great eye for style and is a wonderful designer. She is very knowledgeable and professional in her approach to all phases of the project. She was able to help me figure out what I wanted, how to make it special, turn it into plans and help it all come together. Also, she went the extra mile to make things work. We started with my kitchen which was small and fraying around the edges. She suggested how to reconfigure my space, and then designed a spectacular kitchen and worked smoothly with my contractors to help guide the project through completion. At the same time I was changing around some rooms in my house and asked her for decorating advice and for furniture arrangement and acquisition suggestions. Her taste is exquisite and her vision was very helpful in each space she touched. An example is that she added a reclaimed wood wall to my guest bedroom which turned it from ordinary into spectacular. She was great at giving me space to consider options, and to hold my hand when needed. I would use her again in a heartbeat and I wholeheartedly recommend her.”

“I met with Alissa to discuss my plans for a design plan for a second kitchen in my house. I found her to be practical, honest and detail oriented. Even thought I did not end up working with her (because my project was very small and more of a do-it yourself type of plan, she explained), she gave me a lot of good ideas on how to save money and simplify my plan. I had planned to put in a lot of expensive custom made cupboards and a bar. She recommended that I use the shelving that was already in place and use a pre-fab bar rather than a custom made one. I just went to the store and found sliding glass doors to cover the shelves and a bar that folds into a table. It will save a good amount of money. I appreciated Alissa's suggestions and patience and would definitely hire her for a bigger project in the future.”

“We chose Shaull of Essence Design because he listened to what we wanted instead trying to steer us to what is popular/trendy. He also had a great selection of styles for cabinets, tiles, etc. to choose from. When it came time to install his construction team was easy to work with, informative about what they were doing and when, and flexible when the unexpected came up. Highly recommend. Our project was a complete redo of the kitchen including damaged walls and hardwood floor (due to mold problem), as well as three bathrooms.”

“We worked with Jane at Kozo Designs to redo our kitchen, dining room and fireplaces. The original kitchen was dated, complete with pink marble and neon lights, and did not fit our tastes or the vision for our house. Jane worked closely with us to open up and lighten up the feel of the house, which included removing two walls, adding a window, and including more open-kitchen features. We've lived with this kitchen going on 7 years, and I am always enormously please with how well the kitchen/dining/living room is designed. There are several little details that would not have occurred to me that delight me every time I use them. We have worked or met with other designers, and what we really like about working with Jane is how receptive and understanding she is to your ideas, and her follow-through in executing your vision. That being said, she's also not afraid to give you her honest opinion about things, and more often than not her words are insightful and sensible. As a final bonus, Jane is also really organized and professional, and as a result worked seamlessly with our contractor. I would recommend, and have recommended, Kozo Designs to anyone looking to remodel. She does not disappoint!”

“We had been sitting on what we thought was a fairly straightforward project for over a year because, in this high-demand market, we had to contend with crazy estimates, no responses and project creep until Ochre Homes stepped in. They made it a breeze (almost literally, part of the project involved installing two fans).
