“Chris and his team recently completed a full makeover of our backyard. Not only are we super impressed with the finished product (which is clean, modern and beautiful) - but the whole process along the way as well. Chris is very accessible, no matter what time we reached out with questions, he was always quick to reply. His level of service is spot on. Then the work by him and his crew was pretty impeccable considering they are working with stones that are hundreds of pounds. Their attention to detail and their work ethic is truly admirable. Even after the job was complete Chris personally came by a few nights to tie up loose ends and ensure we were happy. “Greenlandirrigation.com does irrigation, lawn care snow plowing and synthetic turf. They installed an artificial putting green for us this summer and it was a hit. Family and friends loved it. “I have had the privilege of working with Fern Ridge both as client and collaborator. I first hired Fern Ridge back in 1998 when I bought a house with extensive perennial gardens of which I knew nothing about. Sean James (Mr. Fern Ridge), came with a wealth of knowledge, wit and creative insight that make him a pleasure to work with and immediately put my mind at ease. In short order my gardens became his gardens and reached their full potential. Later when extensive renovations to the exterior came, including a new foot print for the decking, Sean designed and installed a masterful addition to the landscaping that included sight, sound, colour and texture. There was burbling water, extensive stone paths and trees and perennials which complimented and worked with the indigenous plant materials. The final work was a living, breathing, blooming work of art. Sadly I moved from this garden, but not without taking Sean along to my next place to work his magic there. As a collaborator, Sean and his team at Fern Ridge created a stunning garden in a compact back yard for a mutual client, that included water falls, hillside landscaping in a Carolinian forest and hard landscaping which created a forest oasis in the city. My part was a bronze and glass sculpture that reflected this beauty and which was complimented by Sean's careful attention to night lighting and complimentary plantings. In short, they say "you can't take it with you;" but I know, so long as Sean James and Fern Ridge Landscaping are around, I can be assured that even through moving house my garden and stunning landscaping will be reborn again wherever I go. A house is just a house until you live in it and call it home. A garden is just a garden until Sean becomes a part of it and releases its inner spirit.”

“Quiet Nature landscaped my front yard & boulevard in 2010, after we built a new home. They did a great job at matching the landscaping to the feel of the house. They took into consideration the types of plants & colours that I enjoy, along with the kind of maintenance that I wanted to do in the yard. We have a maintenance-free lawn and large rolling gardens with a small shaded sitting area under our large Catalpa tree. My gardens are a showcase and my neighbours intentionally take their evening walks past our house to look at it - they often stop me to tell me that they love to see the changes that come with the various seasons, and to stop and smell the fragrant flowers. We've been nominated 3 years in a row for Kitchener in Bloom and we were in the top gardens in Kitchener in 2013. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping job. They will always be my first pick when I need to do landscaping.”

“GML completely revamped our backyard (built a deck, privacy screens, installed outdoor lighting, built a play area for my kids and did all plantings). They did an incredible job. “Heritage Stoneworks did an amazing job on our landscaping. We built a new house and had a blank canvas outside. They came in with a beautiful design and executed it perfectly. We couldn't really articulate exactly what we wanted. They took just a few comments from us and came up with an exact design of what we had in our heads. The design included touches from them that we hadn't thought about but can't imagine not having once it was finished. In the backyard, we had them put in a raised stone patio, pondless waterfall, fences (wood & wrought iron), lots of plants and decorative stone. The new fence connected to our neighbour's existing fence. In the front yard, they moved an existing tree, and landscaped the front corner area. I would highly recommend them.”
