“We hired Mike and the team at Adaptive to extend and renovate our Old West Side home. It was a substantial project transforming our house from 1300 sqft to 2300 sqft and making it into a family home. Additional costs have been minimal – less than 1% of our agreed amount in terms of additional construction costs that were added because of unforeseen circumstances. Adaptive have been fair, even generous, about dealing with those types of unforeseen circumstances, and we have felt that as things were moving quickly, if something needed to happen on the fly they would improve something or upgrade something to make sure it was right and on numerous occasions did this digging into their own pocket so that the project could keep moving. The tradesmen and recommended vendors have been nice to have around in our home and conscientious. We have felt good about the broader team. Overall, Mike, Andrea and Henry and the Adaptive team have been kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable people to work with, and it’s made the overall process exceptional and enjoyable, and really not very stressful. They are good people – we like working with them, and we can tell the vendors do, too, and everything has a really nice tone. Everything has really exceeded our expectations. They have cared about our project and listened to the details that were important to us. They hustled for us – like when a vendor cancelled last minute they had a replacement on site within days. They have provided great professional guidance and we think the end product is great. We are so excited about our renovation and have already been recommending them to friends.
