“Dowling Contacting did a few home renovation projects at my place of residence during the past three years. The work was done by two or three men and all of them were very proficient. There were no nasty surprises or anything else that could possibly lead to time delays and/or price increases. “We have been living in our 'Okwen-built' house for almost 6 years now, and we love it! We found Okwen contracting after hearing about Matt and his crew from friends building a major addition on their house. They gave us a definite thumbs up at the end of the project, and we approached Matt about our house plans. The choice of builder was crucial, as we were wanting to build a super-insulated, air-tight house, with a certain amount of recycled material that we had been gathering - not a straightforward build! I can't say enough good things about Matt and all his guys; even at the design stage Matt had useful contributions which helped our wishes be approved by the architect and engineer. During the build, the crew was lovely to have around, and the sub-contractors that work with Okwen were excellent too. At every stage of the build Matt was solving the little problems that arise, and going above and beyond when we had issues, such as methane in the well water, which were not at all his responsibility. We are doing a lot of the trim and finish work ourselves, and it's a joy to work in a house that is so well built, square and true. We have gone on to recommend Okwen to other friends building their dream home. Last thing to say, they came in On Budget - woohoo!”
