“Their slogan is "Listen, design, build" and they did a great job of that. We did a complete kitchen remodel, gutted down to the studs. All their subs were on time and knew what was expected. The only problems we had were the hidden ones that couldn't be predicted and they dealt with those very professionally and at a very reasonable cost, absorbing a significant portion of that cost. Excellent communication and follow up. Responded to our questions in a curtious manner. Started on time and finished on time with no outstanding issues. NO PUNCHLIST NEEDED!”

“Most people call a construction company for all the best reasons. You save up and plan to build a new house, redo a few rooms or add on a porch. But when a tragic event occurs there is no time to save or plan. That is what happened to our family. We woke up one morning to find not only our house but our garage as well were completely damaged. They both would need to be completely resided. After calling a few different places and getting bids I was a mess and was giving up hope of finding a good company to work with. Then a friend recommended AF Construction. Adam took the time to explain everything to me. He was empathetic and kind to my family. When he saw how upset I was when I found out the same color siding was not an option he made time to stop over with lots of samples. He sat with my kids and I until we could all agree on the new color. From the first day he arrived to look at the damage until the day they cleaned up all their supplies Adam and Travis went above and beyond what expected. At that point any other construction company would have taken their final payment and never looked back. But not Adam ! He called a few weeks later to check on how we were doing. How many companies go the extra mile like that ?”

“We hired Waterstone to do a complete kitchen remodel and a bump out in our 1898 Queen Anne home. There were all kinds of design challenges here as we wanted to keep the architectural integrity of the house while at the same time end up with a modern high-end kitchen. Michael did a marvelous job. Easy to work with, full of creative ideas and the job was done on the schedule as promised. We are now two years into the kitchen, love it and get all kinds of complements from neighbors and friends. Waterstone does terrific work!”

“We met Mike of Timberlane Builders at a Parade of Homes in 2010. We liked the house he was showing at the time and liked him because he had similar philosophies related to energy efficiency and strategies to achieve such. It also didn't hurt that he played golf and hunted which helped me connect with him. He showed us some new lots in an area between Verona and Madison and we bought one. Then Mike waited patiently until we finally sold our home in Mazomanie after 5 years. The first major hurdle we faced in starting to build was that Madison changed the zoning codes in 2013 and as a result, the parade home we had chosen in 2010 no longer met those aesthetic related codes. Mike was very helpful as we revised the plan to meet the new codes. Mike was also accommodating in allowing me to do some of the construction myself. For the most part, all of his subs were very professional and good to work with. And Mike made good suggestions related to materials. The original timeline for construction was actually extended by 3 months as the result of various weather related issues. There were also a few problems related to several variations of the plans floating around with all the redesign and that resulted in some misreading of the plans. But we eventually got everything worked out and the project got done. We were able to move in March 15, 2016 and are very happy with the final result. One final note is that Mike's son, Erik, was very helpful and easy to talk to and work with.”
