“We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. “Spirited Gardner Julia Bunn in 2014 helped us design and build a rain garden for our condo that successfully and beautifully diverts storm water into our front yard in Chicago. Julia clearly explained which native plants would do well in our shady, sandy spot, and she provided us a clear map for our new garden. On "dig day" she did an excellent job of corralling our volunteer crew to ensure we correctly dug our rain swale and planted our plants. Julia also provided guidance over the summer on routine care and on how to put our garden to bed for the winter. I'm looking forward to seeing our rain garden evolve as it matures over the years. Overall, hiring Julia has been one of the best investments our condo has made in the past decade.”

“I was referred to and hired Beary Landscaping and Nick Hubbard as Project Manager in 2013 when I was having an in-ground pool installed. Nick and Beary handled a complete renovation of my outdoor space and conversion of it to an unbelievable outdoor living space complete with large flowing paver patio around my pool area and throughout my backyard. Nick installed marble countertop areas customized for a smoker, sink, natural gas grill, refrigerator and under-counter storage. He handled coordination and construction of a giant pergola over the outdoor cooking and dining space as well as a separate cabana. There is also a built in fire pit and area with an outdoor game table. The cabana has a natural gas fireplace and flat panel outdoor TV as does the pergola area. There are outdoor overhead fans, multiple lighting sources and extensive built-in sound system. There is an outdoor shower and the entire backyard outdoor space is completely private from the outside world all sides. Nick and Beary also installed a full paver driveway and pathways and renovated the entire front landscaping portion of my home. Landscape lighting was installed everywhere. Nick handled all subcontractors including the pool company, carpenter, electrician, plumber, irrigation, gas company, etc. and the job was huge, starting in spring 2013 and not ending until around Thanksgiving. Nick came in on time and in budget. This was one of the best home improvement/construction experiences I have ever witnessed (I've had my share of really bad ones) and I don't know that anyone could have handled it as well as Nick and Beary did. It was perfect. For the past four-and-a-half years, since spring 2013, I have used Beary Landscaping for my weekly yard maintenance as well as for my annual spring plantings, fall plantings and winter decor plantings. Nick has assumed a larger role at Beary so I have been working with Sandra Koslowski from Beary for the past few years and haven't missed a beat. She is every bit as good as NIck with respect to design an eye for detail. Sandra and Nick have always been very direct and honest and I would strongly recommend them and Beary to anyone in need of extremely good landscape design, decor and maintenance. When I find a quality contractor, I let people know about it because good contractors are so hard to find. Nick Hubbard, Sandra Koslowski and Beary Landscaping are as good as it gets.”

“Wilson Ware completely transformed our Chicago bungalow yard and landscaping. Our back yard was re-graded, hardscaped, and landscaped. Hardscape included a patio with paths to the sidewalk, alley, and space for the grill. It also included a seating wall around the giant silver maple tree. They laid down new sod and landscaped with region specific plants. They also built a fence around the entire back yard. The same care and attention was also given to our front and side yard with complimentary plants. John Ware was our designer and led the entire project from start to finish. We had been discussing our yard for years and never able to come to a decision on what to do. John came to our house and listened to our ideas, took what we said and blew us away on the first try! His design was more than we expected and we continue to appreciate what he came up with every time we're enjoying our yard. The project was very fairly priced and finished within a reasonable time. The only criticism we have is in John's responsiveness towards the end of the project, and in our interest to continue using Wilson Ware Group for ongoing landscape and maintenance.”
