“Chris Dickey and his coworker Patricio did an EXCELLENT job on our fireplace wall to install the stacked stone we selected. We procured the stone, but they handled all other tools and materials. They were great to work with, were professional, and did a great job especially around the tough curvature of our fireplace mantle! They were very responsive to our concerns throughout the project and respected our house and our baby's sleep schedule even! Highly recommend. The wet saw and some cement they left behind killed some of our grass in the backyard, but doesn't prevent the 5 star rating overall.”

“Wow!!! Amazing results; better than expected or promised. My neighbor referred me after I saw the complete overhaul Marwood Construction had done to his entryway and living room; transformed! They doubled the size of their living room (added a fireplace and a wall of windows looking out on his yard) and added a half bath to the entryway. He was so pleased I'm surprised he hasn't left a review. I hired Marwood Construction to remodel and expand both my kitchen, master bedroom, bath and closet. The owner himself, Patrick Martin, personally came out and to give me a quote. He was knowledgeable and professional, albeit a few minutes late (he did call to let me know he was held up on another job). His quote was very competitive with the others I'd gotten, but it was Mr. Martin's vision and expertise that was the tipping point. He seemed to know everything about the construction of my older home built in the mid '60's, the challenges we'd face with my electrical and plumbing systems, and his suggestions were first rate. He caught things the other contractors had overlooked and easily won my confidence. The other issue was that I needed it completed before the holidays when my family would be in town. He had some other projects on the books so he couldn't promise, -made that clear, but he delivered!!! My giant, beautiful chef's kitchen was completed just in time for Thanksgiving. It was such a luxury to prepare our meal in my new big, gorgeous kitchen, with enough room for everyone to congregate and not get in my way! I was so proud of my fabulous kitchen. Marwood really exceeded my expectations!!! My bedroom used to be a tiny, dark cave with a very dated bathroom and a single closet (my husband had to use the guest room closet). When Marwood Construction finished, it is now my favorite space in the house! In the master closet we built a large marble island with drawers (including a hidden jewelry safe too, no more safety deposit box needed!), a shoe wall, a separate cedar closet and a sitting area. Our master closet is the envy of all of my friends and I feel like a movie star while dressing. We tripled the size of our bedroom, with floor to ceiling windows, a stone fireplace and french doors leading to a private patio. It is truly the master retreat I've always wanted! Overall, I couldn't be happier with Marwood Construction. I plan to use them again to update the family room. They were very timely, cleaned up their mess before they'd leave for the day, without any hidden/additional cost. Mr. Martin is the utmost professional and visionary!”

They communicate openly, work with a high quality stable of sub-contractors (including some really talented craftsmen) and stand behind their work. LBJ was the GC on our major kitchen remodel, construction of a full bath and a half bath plus an addition to our house that included butler's pantry, mudroom and laundry room. LBJ knows the "latest and greatest" and will spend time working with the owner to determine what works for you--but no high pressure sales pitch. They focus on the projected timeframes and budgets, using Co-Construct web app to manage all elements of the job. What stands out to me the most is the extremely high standards to which LBJ holds its subcontractors. We had a couple of elements initially completed to an "alright" standard. LBJ got the work redone to "perfect" by my standards. I am so grateful to have had LBJ as a partner.”

After interviewing several candidates we hired Covington, mainly because we quickly got comfortable with Andrew Adams and his design and pricing approach. We had some good ideas about what we wanted and a fixed budget. Andrew collaborated with us to develop a final design that could be built within our budget, then worked with us at every step to make sure that the project was completed on time and on budget. As usual with a 50+ year old home, we encountered some surprises, but Andrew dealt with them very well and kept us informed throughout. He continually came up with creative ideas that generated value, always staying focused on adding features that created livability and increased resale value. We were delighted with the result and wondered what had taken us so long to do the renovation. It completely transformed our home into a livable showplace with features that we didn't originally envision, such as a walk-in pantry, a new utility room, walk-in master closet, and great built-in shelving.
