“We hired Mac to do a remodel and addition on our home in the summer of 2014. He and his team were a pleasure to work with and were on-time and on budget. This was extremely important to my wife and me because we were pregnant with our 4th child, so time was of the essence. Despite the pressure, Mac handled the project like a champ and he made everything as stress-free and seamless as possible. The scope of our project was a 600 sqft addition, kitchen, powder room, master bathroom, master bedroom, living room, great room, walk-in closet, front facade and walkways. Basically half of our house was completely torn down, and we added some more space for our growing family. Now, I wish the other half of our house was torn down and matched the excellent work Mac, Krystian, and their crew did. We plan on renovating that part of the house as well, and plan on hiring DMD General Construction to do the job when we do. In the meantime we have, however, hired DMD for some other smaller projects on two other properties, which we are very satisfied with as well, and we have also referred them to some of our friends and neighbors who are extremely happy with their finished products too. Also, in working with the vendors that Mac recommended, we found many people love working with him and give him a better contractor's discount than other companies. Most other GC firms will take these contractor discounts as their profits, but DMD passes these cost savings to their clients. This makes a huge difference, especially since good quality finishes and fixtures can add a significant amount to your project. We interviewed and met with several contractors and we couldn't have made a better choice. Mac is very HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, FAIR, and easy to work with. Bottom line is that I would definitely hire Mac and the DMD crew again, I have and will continue to refer him to my friends and family, and I am extremely happy with the work that they did on our home.”

“Great experience, high value, very reliable and best crew we ever worked with. Mayer’s construction did a home remodeling for us during the last 6 months. It has been a big home remodel for us that took design and build as well. After months spending finding the right company for us, we have choose to work with Mike & Nathan Mayer from Mayer’s construction. A week after finalizing contract we started working with Su & Luis both company’s architect and engineer. We worked on the new plans we agreed and wanted at first and started to have architect drawings ready, when we got into engineering process, both Mayer’s construction and us didn’t know we were suppose to redone so much of the existing footings and reinforce of additional walls as 20 years ago we did a 2nd story addition that was probably made poorly and unprofessional. They were extremely kind and helpful and kept the price as we agreed on and didn’t changed a thing. The plan process and measurements took about a month or so, and finally we were able to submit the plans to the city of San Jose. After getting the permits done and job card set ( overall 5 months of waiting / SJ is a pretty busy city) we got into work schedule and been ready to move out as the entire home going to be demolished. Mike was very organized both managing and scheduling the team, rough materials arrivals, and to us to be fully briefed with details and what we need and when. The process of work was great and on timeline , city did changed a lot during this time period with their inspection delays but it didn’t interrupt with our schedule or timeline due to great management ahead. We just finished our work and we absolutely in love with our new home! New flooring throughout, new kitchen, new bathrooms, complete open floor plan, new stair case, new rooms reconfigured, new paint, new texture, new windows and sliding doors throughout, all new plumbing and electrical. A brand new and beautiful home we got thanks to Mayer’s construction and the team, Mike, Nathan, Raul, Jose and many more who had a added value and did this work absolute best.”

“We recently completed a major remodel of our 1970's vintage home engaging Chris Flores of Westhill Construction as our contractor. From our first meeting, where we asked scores of questions about the process, the costs, the design, and the timeline, Chris really listened to our vision for the project, offered many great ideas, and encouraged us to collaborate with him on all phases of the design and construction. Chris also provided us with a detailed bid which included options and relative costs of various design elements, quality of fixtures and finishes, etc. He gave us an extensive list of references who we contacted, and who were uniformly thrilled with Westhill's quality, service, and price. I should also make it clear that we interviewed four other well-respected construction companies before we decided on Westhill. While I'm sure that they are all good and capable contractors, not one of them was willing to provide the kind of detailed design and budget proposal that Chris offered us without first signing a contract and providing a hefty deposit. Throughout the remodel of our kitchen, dining room, entry hall, skylights, windows, doors, master bedroom, and three bathrooms, from demolition to the final cleaning, Chris and his team were always professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and grounds. Every afternoon, as the work day would come to a close, there was a general cleanup (never any trash left behind - not even sawdust), a report on what had been accomplished, and a preview of "next steps". As we moved through the timeline, Chris would meet with us and supply us with a checklist of our "next steps" in choosing appliances, hardware, tile, bathroom fixtures, etc. This really kept us focused and on track. There were no "surprises" in the process. Chris also stayed on budget. If we decided to make changes or up-grades along the way, he'd provide us with a price, as well as with alternatives, so that we could decide if the change was actually worth making. About a year after the completion of this remodel, we invited Chris back to help us with another project - transforming wasted space under our deck into a wine making and storage area. Once again, he took our ideas and made them a reality. This was not a straightforward design, but Chris was able to work within the space and now we have a place to make and store wine from our small cabernet vineyard. We know, first hand, how stressful and expensive a major remodel can be, but when you put your trust in Westhill Construction, you will not be disappointed. “Payman has completed a handful of projects on various properties for us, mostly kitchen and bathroom remodels. He and his team do a great job and are easy to work with. Payman is very responsive-answers texts and calls quickly, always on time to meetings. Every project has finished ahead of schedule and on budget! When problems arise as they do in construction, he stays calm and says "no problem" and it is no problem for the homeowner. Payman handles everything on his end so that the homeowner doesn't have to worry about anything. He does a weekly walk through and his focus in on making sure I'm happy with the progress and that things are going smoothly. He has a great attitude and genuinely wants to know if there are any areas that his team could improve on. Salvador is much more that a carpenter, has been with the company for 15+ years and can seemingly do anything. His work is impressive and he tends to the smallest detail to make sure the homeowner is happy. Emanuel does fantastic tile work and is so focused that I never see him take a break. Jesus, the young man that did the painting was also very conscientious. On our most recent project, I let him know that he didn't have to paint the bathroom door as we were planning on replacing all the interior doors at some point. It looked terrible so he painted it anyway and did a beautiful job. I'm so happy he did because it looks so good that I can take my time replacing it. Allan, the newest addition to the office, is responsive and focused on continually improving their service and keeping the customer happy. When your focus is on doing quality work and making sure the homeowner is happy, everything else seems to fall into place.”
